CITIES IN CRISIS
On May 12, 13 and 14 some of our classmates participated on the UN Model of Rosario’s University about Habitat: Cities in Crisis. During those three days, eight girls from the school (Clara Gomez, Ana María Poveda, Daniela Lopez, Maria Paula Vega were representing Malaysia, and Ana María Cárdenas, Camila Cogollo, Paola Malagón and Marcela Moreno steppig in for India), debated about the main issues that unable good governance in the cities of nowadays.
Throughout the whole model, our girls were giving it their best and participated energetically to come up with the best solutions to be implemented in these topics. Ana María Cárdenas won a diploma for best speech in the Habitat commission.
At the end of the second day, another kind of awards was given. These awards were to the person who was voted the best in each category per comitee, they included most annoying, best dressed guy and girl, best looking guy and girl, funniest delegate, best member of the table, and so on.
We are proud to announce that our very own Ana María Poveda received the diploma for best looking girl on the Urban Governance commission!! Cheers!!
They were an amazing three days in which we were able to learn many things from other countries, and got to meet really smart and kind people. Is an experience none of us will ever forget.
